Only 6.5 weeks before UFC 205 they announced a major main event. They would NEVER have done this in the past unless there was an injury in the main event. 6.5 weeks was usually scramble and desperation time for the UFC.

The first Nate-Conor(10 days notice) fight has changed UFC's mind on how much time they actually need before a fight to promote it.

Conor changing the game.

why does it always have to come back to mcgregor wtf

Or the negotiations were just finished in the past couple of days.

It's all about the money. They couldn't do it before because asking a fighter to fight in 6 weeks for $100,000 wasn't worth it, they could just say no and get the same money a couple of months later. Now, when they offer you millions to fight Conor, if you pass up on it, you might not get it again.

Or their only major draw just had a 5 round war, refused to vacate the belt he has zero interest in defending, and demanded a shit load of money

They were struggling and desperate

Though announcing fights with only a few weeks left is a good idea

So fighters like the Americans mainly eg Weidman get injured 4 days in camp which is usually 10 weeks

We don't ever have to know about it

If there is a Tsunami pop out at ireland, yet it stopped the moment Conor back to his own country, would you say that Conor is the one who stopped it?

Conor is not the fuxking Jesus, deal with it!!

Or they realized that promoting fights too early lead to a lot of main events falling apart, and cards looking nothing like what they marketed.
