Everyone keeps saying that Mcgregor is too big for featherweight and he's a natural lightweight. But he isn't. For his 2 fights against Nate Diaz he weighed in at 168 and 167. Thats featherweight walkaround weight. Mcgregor is just terrible at cutting. Either its his genetics or bad nutritionist. Either way he is not too big for featherweight.

He cut an extra 2 pounds against Diaz to have an excuse. The guy is a huge FW (which is why he's not fighting there) even his camp said it's hard on him to fight at 145

He makes the cut to FW and fights effectively after making the cut. He isn't over-depleting himself. He has never missed weight.

I have no problem with classifying him as a FW. He is a big FW, but a FW nonetheless.

His walking weight is 170-175 lbs.
Other featherweights his height are around the same weight.
Even Aldo is 170 walking.
That 168 number is filling up after a long training camp. Probably cuts from 165ish..
Aldo also had trouble cutting to 145 before a new system he tried in 2012 or so

All natural, just a bad weight cut

Yeah, maybe he could cut a leg instead of water weight.

HE has always looked good in terms of performance at FW. He has never missed weight. So how exactly is he bad at cutting weight? You make it sound like he is a Johnny Hendrix

Nothing natural about cutting from 170lbs to 145lbs lol. It's just part of the game, many on the roster have that just barely making it to the scales alive look.

Lol, natural in a world where everything cuts weight, sure.

sorry, but he is.
He is just not the biggest LW. But he is much bigger than most FW's.

A 12-14 percent weight cut is a pretty meaningful cut, if he is in fact *cutting* from 165-168 (as opposed to dieting and cutting).

Conor is honestly a bit of a tweener in terms of weight, when considered against his frame and his MMA game, IMO.

He is taller and has a longer reach than the majority of FWs which puts him out of the manlet range. But he is a natural FW.

Did you know that Charles Oliveria, a former LW who's missed weight like 4 times and sometimes by several pounds now walks around at 143? Because thats what he weighed in against pettis and if you weigh in 2 pounds under that automatically means its your walk around weight.

Crazy that he went from missing weight 4 times at FW to now walking around at 143, dude could be a flyweight!

At UFC 97 Anderson weighed in at 182 pounds. 182! His walk around weight was 182 pounds! Anderson Silva is a natural Lightweight. Super duper extreme double GOAT bro
