Just watched his fight against Yakovlev, and although he mainly used just grappling most of the match, he didn't have trouble jabbing his stomach against the striking specialist. He was turning every clinch or knee attempt by Yakovlev to a fucking takedown. He impressed even more than Maia against him.


People here who tried wrestling know how tiring it, so what impressed me the most was.. HE DIDN'T HAVE A FUCKING STOOL between rounds, he just stood there!!! and still dominated every microsecond of the 3 rounds, not letting his opponent take advantage of any opening.

All he has to do is work on well-rounding his game and he'll be a contender in the future.

idk about that, he finished in his UFC debut. And I wasn't bored at all in his last fight, sure it was all grappling but he was constantly moving during it.
Besides, I never said he was exciting. Shields was owning MWs back int he day, and he's top 3 most boring p4p. Most people agrees GSP was boring too.
