Mickey has two pro fights right now, one of those being over a photographer with a little boxing experience but no MMA experience, and some other guy who was 0-0. When he fights Punk, that'll be another 0-0 opponent. The question, then, is this: If Mickey wins, which most believe is the inevitable outcome, who can he fight? He'd have 3 victories over opponents with a combined record of 0-0.
There is nobody else as inexperienced as him; even Sage, a guy who was criticized as being far too green to deserve a UFC contract, had 5 fights and his opponents had a combined record of 33-42 when he was signed. His last opponent pre-UFC had 22 victories! That's a very experienced guy and Sage TKOed him. Mickey might be a good fighter--he might even be better than Sage, no one knows yet--but the point is he's extremely new. There is no one on the roster who is anywhere near as inexperienced as he is, so who can he fight? Do they sign regional guys just to fight him while he gains experience? Do they thank him for his time and send him back to the minor leagues? What's your opinion?
