OK admins, if there is a thread like this already, you know what to do.
As Conor McGregor once stated about Irish MMA,"We're not here to take part. We're here to take over!" Well... With Marcin Held newly signed and Poland's other four UFC stars (Blachowicz, Jotko, Jedrzejczyk and Kowalkiewicz) holding strong in their respective divisions, I have to ask.. Has Poland arrived as the next big hotbed of UFC talent?
Let's recap, for those who've arrived to the party late...
It all started with Joanna Champion mauling the likes of Carla Esparza, Jessica Penne, and Valerie Letourneau, and also putting her rival Claudia Gadelha in her place for the second time. Then, Karolina Kowalkiewicz came in from Invicta, and started to turn heads with wins against Randa Markos, Heather Jo Clark and Rose Namajunas. As for the guys, Jan Blachowicz is still steaming along with a fight against Alex Gustafsson on tap, and Krysztof Jotko is also going strong with an 18-1 record and very much a middleweight threat, which now brings us to Marcin Held, who is now in the UFC fold via Bellator. With his ground game, fans everywhere should look at him to be in the lightweight title mix right from the get go.
Alright.. My spiel's been said.. Now it's your turn!
