So it seems reem tries to take Conor mcgregor place and adopt the same tactic.

I didn't even like the old one to begin with.
 
Overeem was always like that. He was always smug. The thing about him is that he's very insecure and needs to win a few fights to start getting bold and trash talk and then after he loses some he's quickly put in his place and humbled. He was very quiet for some years after he was knocked out left and right few fights in a row and has only recently regained the confidence. He also knew his place in Pride where he was an average skinny middleweight and was losing fights regularly.

He's a typical bully basically.

At least the likes of Conor and Artem are always confident even if they lose. Artem could go on a 10 loss streak and will still talk mad shit about everyone. Overeem will shut up after Stipe shatters that pathetic china all over the octagon.
 
Overeem has always been like this.

He has an odd relationship with Fedor and Brock. He claims to be huge fans of them, claiming to greatly respect both but he loves belittling them (claiming they're afraid of him, ducked him, that he would beat them)...he loves calling both of them out.

He has always been quite open and honest, he has talked trash about Sage, Ronda and so on before. Calling Sage a little pussy and questioning whether Ronda was ever that good, saying "who exactly did she beat".
