I believe he is even if he doesn't win the belt. If he does win the belt it's a cap stone to a great mma career. I have been on the maia bandwagon since ufc77. He is an amazing bjj practitioner and a classy guy win or loose.
War maia

Hall of fame is not the best 500 mma fighters ever gathering

I think he is the most dominant fighter ever in any one discipline. So I hope he finds a way in, but I doubt it.

A legit hall of fame would have to include someone who was light years ahead of any of his peers (for the most part) in an aspect of the game. Sure guys that make a career off of RBI singles may not be as big as home run sluggers, but their niche gets recognized in the hall of fame. A three point specialist who has no other great skill can get in for hoops if it leads to a successful role/career. Why shouldn't a wizard who does what almost no one else can do jiu jitsu wise not be included in a martial arts HOF?

2nd most wins in the history of the company

hall of fame ? are you just messin with us ? good very funny now stop.

Whatever, they stuck the Bushwhackers in so.....

HOF in an individual sport is dumb anyway. Their careers speak for themselves

If you're not a "pioneer" and you've never held a world title, you don't get into the Hall of Fame IMO.

Of course that doesn't count special non-fighter inductions (Mask, ect)

Last specialist that is successful
at the elite levels. Absolutely deserving
