Barely anyone I know still watches it, it's pretty much dead in Europe yet a lot of people around me watch UFC. Is it really that much different in the US?

cuse dana's gotta get payed too. you fucken goof

Because it's like over 100 years old as a professional sport.

Boxing has deeper pockets.

The biggest company just sold for 4 Billion, right now UFC makes more than boxing in a calendar year, or I think so using common logic but the money is going to the UFC, and the fighters are getting a lot less of a percentage than boxers do....do not think greats like Jack Johnson, Sammy Sadler, Jack Demsey, etc were making much in boxings first 20 years either though relative to the promoters and owners . Its still not main stream enough either which would help the fighters cause imho.

Is there a possible UFC that could do the 4,600,000 PPVs at $100 each that Mayweather/Pacqiao did?
The big boxing events just have better numbers, so obviously somebody is buying them. Plus, guys like Mayweather are also the promoters.

No, but UFC is about to put up 6 1Million PPVs in a calendar year....

they consistently draw much better than boxing, especially now and especially among people 35 and younger.
Pac/mayweather borefest certainly didn't help, esp. compared to Conor and Ronda's entertaining fights.

As the older people die off, the gap in interest will only get bigger.

Theres not more money in boxing, there's more money in mayweather.
Canelo vs GGG is expected to do more buys and revenue than any UFC card, unless you put some freakshow Conor vs GSP and Ronda returning type of shit.

Boxing is supported by a massive amount of gambling worldwide

GGG just drew less than 100k, and Canelo vs a pretty popular guy in Khan just did like 400k.

Conor vs a pretty popular guy in Diaz did two 1 Mil plus back to back

Highly doubtful.

That myth of a fight that isn't even signed is boxing's last hope lmao

Floyd drew 500k and Pacquiao drew 400k.

Certain match ups draw more.

Anyway Canelo vs GGG is estimated to draw close to 2 million and is estimated by PPV Exec at HBO.

imagine if boxing only allowed one sponsor for all of it's fighters

Canelo vs Cotto ( who is wayyyyy more popular than GGG) couldn't even do 1 mil.

Conor has more 3 1 mil PPVs in the last 9 months alone. Canelo has 1 in his career and it's only because he fought mayweather at his peak.

No casuals care about GGG, as shown by his embarrassing drawing number in his PPV attempt.
