A simple examination of Wonderboys record proves that none of his wins are that impressive with added context. The winner of tonight's Main Event should actually get the next title shot. Let's take a closer look

- Rory MacDonald: aka the shell of Rory MacDonald. Wonderboy faced him coming off a year layoff after a brutal war with Lawler. Rory would arguably never be the same after that and Wonderboy capitalized on that.

- Johny Hendricks: aka Scary Hobo Hendricks. Coming off a near kidney failure and his first fight in almost a year. Plus his first fight with some "new policies" in play.

- Jake Ellenberger: he was coached by Edmond at the time. Enough said.

- Patrick Cote: Cowboy just beat Cote coming up from light weight. Not exactly a fight to make a claim for a title shot.

- Robert Whittaker: Whittaker use to nearly kill himself to make welterweight. Wonderboy was essentially fighting a skeleton.

- Chris Clements: who?

- Nah-Shon Burrell: no seriously who?

Wonderboy has looked down right amazing imo

I agree that Maia, if he was to win tonight, should be next.

"Product of timing" stop stealing Luke Rockholds lines about Weidman.

Yeah but when you actually watch the fights...

Woodley by tko. But Wonderboy has a chance of winning the title.

... And the fact that he's a highly skilled top notch fighter you salty whiney shit TS

Definition of a hater, damn son

So Maia has beaten 1) undersized and overrated Nelson 2) lost 4 of 5 brown 3) just brutally beaten Magny 4) spent Fitch 5) fluke over Kim

Not seeing how your logic works. Rory is by far the biggest win of any of their wins. And unlike Maia, wonder boys wins have been dominant.
