What counts is his performance in the octagon, not who's making a knot into a fucking belt.Under Eliot Marshall? I can't say that's too impressive.
He should have been studying under Tussa at Gracie-Barra in ABQ.
yeah he has looked better than some of these "black" belts for a while now, it's just how you incorporate it in your gameCowboy was already black belt level back in 2006. It's really just a technicality linked to the gi / no-gi schism. Let's just put it this way: Cowboy has been a no-gi black belt for 10 years.

He has been training with us at the San Pedro location in the gi for a while now. I believe he started under Eliot and Amal Easton back in day. As someone who has rolled with him in the gi he is more than deserving of the blackbeltUnder Eliot Marshall? I can't say that's too impressive.

He has 17-ish submission wins.
I'd say he's pretty good on the ground.

Better than alright even... hes tapped some really game guys.. and he's shown tremendous offensive bjj off his back. Cerrone legit deserves that belt. What counts is his performance in the octagon, not who's making a knot into a fucking belt.
His bjj looks alright to me in his fights.
