Everyone is talking about this fight but it makes no sense.

Aldo had three opportunities to beat McGregor.

First he dropped out, second he got KO'd in 13 seconds, and third he flat out turned down, despite saying he was training to take it on short notice and would fight Conor "any time, any place", smh.

Jose has already dropped out of 6 or 7 fights now. Is Conor supposed to drop 300k on a training camp and have Jose duck out again? What a waste. Why take the risk of having this guy duck out, he already beat him in 13 seconds.

Look at the FW top 3.

1. Aldo - ducked Mac twice, KO'd in 13 seconds
2. Frankie Edgar - just lost to a guy who ducked Mac twice and got KOd in 13 seconds
3. Max Holloway - Mac dominated him

There's nothing left for Conor at FW. Jose had his chance for a rematch and TURNED IT DOWN.

Time to move on to bigger and better things at 155, baby.

Diaz choked the life out of McG and he got an immediate rematch. Aldo beat Edgar and should get another crack at Conor.

If you are a FIGHT fan, you DO want to see these two actually fight.

If you are a Conor nuthugger you are happy with this lucky one shot ko and will scream everywhere that they should not fight again.

Agree. KO Alvarez next and have a superfight with Cruz (and KO him stiff inside 2) so that even the McGOAT haters can't deny his GOAT status. Maybe kill GSP or the welterweight champion after that if he feels so and ride off to the sunset with a 100 million dollar Mayweather boxing joke and retire as the greatest human being to ever live.

Can you honestly blame Aldo for not taking the second fight against McGregor. It wouldn't have been for the belt from my understanding so why risk it.

For fuck's sake, Conor is the champ in that division and Aldo is the clear no. 1 contender. Can't think of a better reason for them to fight than that, unless you are happy with Mac's title reign consisting of ZERO defenses.
