I heard a Dana White interview the other day where he made a really interesting point. He said he was really disappointed that more retired UFC fighters didn't become referees or judges, because the sport could really use their expertise.

I really like the idea of fights being scores by former fighters we all know (instead of state athletic commission appointees)... but reffing seems like an even better spot for these guys.

Which retired fighters would you most like to see in the black uniform as the third man in the ring?

Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro is already a ref and does a good job.

Don Frye

Charlie Brenneman ahaha

Maybe if you had paid them more you might see more reffing.

Yves would make a great ref imo.

There would be some conflict of interest if it came to judging especially.

You just know that Nick Diaz would not score favourably for Conduit.

I have some old King of the Cage dvds where Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes are doing pretty good jobs. If I didn't know who they were, I might not have noticed any difference between them and any other ref.

Maybe Ronda can be a ref, once she figures out if she's gonna shit, or get off the pot.

Chuck or Randy would be great, too.
