Jim Miller is salty lol both threw a fking awsome fight..

Most pro's picked Nate to win. I expect them to be salty.

Nate's boxing was off. Hmm how about giving some credit to Conor in regards to that Jim.

Nate's boxing looked poor because Conor's boxing is considerably better.

He is correct. Nate didn't throw a single right check hook which was one of his best punches in the first fight and one of the best counters to Conors left hand. His footwork was bad as well.

Isn't that because check hooks work if your opponent his consistently punching towards you as you back/pivot step?

Conor was much more patient this fight. He set up shots with a jab and capitalized with his counter left at will. Conor smartly took away his lead leg so Nate couldn't cover distance as well as the Johnson and 1st Conor fights. Plus the leg kicks caused him to defensively shell up as he raised his lead leg. Conor had a couple of leg feints that led to easy uppercuts/straights up the middle. I think Nate was pushing forward almost the whole fight, tough to land a check hook when the opponent isn't lunging (Conor came forwards on counters mostly).

Conor is the smaller and quicker guy and that gave him problems. It normally takes Nate a round to find his timing and range but by that time Conor already came fast out of the gates.

Great insight.

Yea hopefully Nate will throw punches with closed fists in the rubber match.

:>

Ward needs to up his game in training, Nates needs more practice, Conor looked like Ali in there and Nate looked like that guy artem beat

I think he meant the Stockton slap is an ineffective weapon. It's more of a demoralizing tool to embarrass opponents and get them shook.

There were several times in the fight where it looked like Nate threw a lazy slap that Conor just brushed aside and countered. There were also moments where Nate did make contact with a slap, but it only served to throw off Conor's balance a bit. A nice closed fist might have done some damage.

But the Diaz way of fighting is to get you triggered and brawl with them, so it's unlikely he'd stop slapping.
