Khabib is to Conor what Cyborg was to Ronda

The UFC clearly wants to market Conor to the naive casuals as someone who is unbeatable around his weight. That's the main reason why they tried to paint a 155 lbs division high level gatekeeper Nate Diaz as a 200 lbs monster.

The problem is that there's a huge inconvenience to this story as there's a certain guy in this 155 division that Conor can't possibly beat no matter what. It's pretty much the same problem they had with Ronda where Cyborg was a major inconvenience to the entire story.

The first stage is denial and right now UFC is acting as if Khabib doesn't even exist. They're telling us that there are solid fights for Conor at 155 like the champ Alvarez or RDA or Cowboy or Pettis but they never even mention Khabib.

The next stage will be anger where they will have Joe Rogan subtly attacking Khabib's ethnic background just like they forced him to make those penis jokes about Cyborg.

The final stage of acceptance will happen when Khabib cleans out the division and beats everyone not named Conor (because Conor will avoid him like plague) and they'll just have to find some weak excuses like "he's probably on steroids because he's from Russia he can make 145 without them" and talk about money fights and red panty nights and why Conor should fight Amir Khan in some hybrid rules fight but trust me Conor vs Khabib fight is never going to happen.

You must be Russian.

Tell me how many current top 50 fighters Khabib beat.

Calm down son. The UFC market Conor more because he yields more interest and revenue than Khabib. There's no point even saying Conor is ducking Khabib at 155 when he hasn't even fought at that weight class in the UFC yet.

It's a bit too soon for that. It's not like Khabib is the champion anyway.

It's hard to clean out a division when you fight once every 2 years

Khabib couldn't even beat Tibau, he lost that fight, I don't care what the judges say. Tibau landed more strikes and got 1 takedown, Khabib got 0 takedowns. Lost to Tibau. So he is certainly not "unbeatable" as you claim. He rarely fights too, takes long breaks between fights.

i think Frankie is a better comparison

would smash him for the title but wouldn't be able to defend against the other top fighter in the division

I would be very interested in seeing that. Everyone should want to see how Conor fares against a wrestling specialist. We'll exclude Mendes, because I'm talking about one that both fighters have had time to prepare for one another. A guy like Khabib could shed light on how well Conor will mix in the with the rest of LWs, because there are many good wrestlers there that have decent striking too. Khabib is probably one of the best wrestler at LW, if not the best. Eddie would be fine as well, but it seems like a bit of a jump for an actual test at LW. But I wouldn't mind seeing Eddie get paid well for it.

What is the official result of their fight ?
In your logic we should just listen to your decision and not the refs.

But if someone says Nate won the fight against Conor, the official scoring is important, right ?

I dont agree with the comparison cos Khabib and Conor both fight in weightclasses the UFC has. :D

But yes,if the UFC,and Conor are smart, theyll avoid this one till they cant.

It doesn't make sense to schedule Khabib for big fights until he can prove that he can make a few in a row without having to be replaced at the last minute.

Khabib is protecting everyone from him by never fighting.
