There have been rumors that Doo Ho Choi was a bully at school. Some argue that he regularly beat those who were weaker and even took away money from students. A rumor has it that even one student quit school because of Choi’s persistent bullying.

Choi talked about these rumors. He acknowledged that he fought some fights during his school years. But in most cases, it was others who picked the fight first, not him. He was known to be the best fighter in his school at the time and others often challenged him after hearing this. He said he didn’t enjoy those fights personally. Sometimes he was afraid of fighting others and fled not to fight.

He said he never bullied weak students and nobody quit school because of him. He believes that these rumors are the sign of his becoming more and more popular home and abroad and is not going to mind them anymore.
