Aldo's great head movement and defense came from cuban school of boxing

Aldo has been mainly working with his cuban coach when it comes to boxing.

And cubans have arguably the the greatest defense in boxing ever. The cuban school of boxing is almost military like and they perfect the art of defense.

Current champions who arguably the current best pure boxers today are Guillermo Rigondeaux and Erislandy Lara two guys that are virtually impossible to hit clean.

Hope Aldo comes in with that mind set in the mcgregor rematch cuz if he does he can make it a very easy fight on himself.

You do realize that "head movement and defense" are taught at EVERY FUCKING BOXING GYM ON THE PLANET considering that it's part of boxing, right?

There was some "el paso pendulo" in Aldo's defence but I wouldn't say that he's a cuban boxer suddenly. It takes ages to master.

Aldo lost one time in the last ten years. This forum will tell you his boxing is from the school of "suck" because of it.

Yes and most "FUUCKING" boxers are not as schooled im defense as cubans are.

Do you realize that?

This is coming from someone who boxed as an amateur for 9 yrs out of the same gym Andre Ward and Nonito Donaire came out of

Lara is hella overrated, gets hit flush to the body a lot.

It only took you until post #5 to crowbar in this information.

Cuban amateur boxers are no joke, very technical, very disciplined.

Pictures or it never happened!

Also Aldo ain't learning head movement at this stage.
Head movement comes naturally in the range of motion of a boxer with years of practice.
May Thai is Aldo's game, footwork and head movement are much more rigid.
To have proper head movement he would have to change his game completely.

He does have great head movement and his footwork is exceptional.

I too have been involved and competing in Silver Gloves (juniors since age 11) and Golden Gloves as an adult. I've had the pleasure to train at many gyms, both small/local gyms in Jersey and world class gyms like Church Street, Fight Factory, Trinity and Gleason's in New York. Defense and head movement in EVERY SINGLE one of those gyms set aside AT MINIMUM 30-45 min defense/head movement drills/training out of a 2 hour training session.

Every fighter is different and has their strong and weak points. But to say that "X fighter is training with Cubans, so their defense is going to be so much better" is retarded.

The problem with this information is that anyone can make unsubstantiated claims. Trust me, this is coming from the guy who advised Dana to find a way to buy the UFC.

Shut up you moron. If you don't understand that different parts of the world have different styles and emphasis (as In TS example) then you're proving how uneducated and inexperienced you are on the subject
