Does Jones have same accomplishments sans PED use?

I still think he becomes champ, but takes longer. It wouldn't be instantaneously. Prob loses to Shogun or Machida at least once. They were on their way out anyway. Beats dc, he still too athletic to get grappled by him, but def loses to Gus

Doesn't matter which version of Jones fought Post-Surgery Shogun, Jonny Bones would have got that gold. We'd already seen what Shogun looks like first fight back after a knee reconstruction when he fought Coleman the second time. Dude took on a 748 year-old, mostly-retired Coleman and looked terrrrrrrrrrrrrible. Just horrendous. Any Top 10 205er would have had Bruce hollering "Aaaaand NEW!" that night.

And Lyoto was on a 1-2 skid with zero relevant wins for two years when Bones fought him. He was out of form and was somewhat of a short-notice fill-in for an injured Rashad. I'd wager even Clean Jon could have gotten the job done there.

You must be kidding. Cormier was doing more than just grapple in that fight. Nobody thinks even roided Jones won all of rounds 1-3 against Cormier and those he did win, he won by a narrow margin. By the time we reach the championship rounds roided Jones dominated, he's facing a much less battered Cormier than the one who fought roided Jones and has taken more damage himself. How does clean Jones win three rounds of that fight?

Jones without PEDs loses against DC, Gus and probably Rumble. He would have a worse cardio and chin, and that would make the difference.

Doubt it. A drawback for having such a long thin frame is how difficult it is to build muscle. He wouldn't have the strength to move the way he did, and coordinate the attacks for him to hit hard and fast. It would be far easier to close the gap.

Shouldnt we ask what we think peds actually did for jones. Was he just a bit stronger than he otherwise would be? He was already in early 20's with naturally highest T when he came on the scene
