USADA Strikes Again Daniel Omielanczuk positive for Meldonium, still on FN91

Poor guy, whoever he is... Isn't very bright if he's still using but he probably thought because he is a nobody, they wouldn't test him.

USADA further informed UFC that due to recent WADA statements regarding the handling of Meldonium cases, they will not be issuing a provisional suspension to Omielanczuk at this time. Accordingly, Omielanczuk has not been removed from his scheduled bout against Alexy Oleinik in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on July 13, 2016.

According to the article and the guidelines:

Omielanczuk may still be punished at a later date despite the lack of a provisional suspension.

From the memo:

“However, in this case, the athlete shall be informed that if it is later established based on the results of the excretion studies that he/she did take the drug on or after 1 January 2016, (i) all the results during the period in which the provisional suspension is lifted may be cancelledand prizes returned, and (ii) the ineligibility period ultimately imposed is likely to start on the date of the decision (with a credit for the provisional suspension already served).”

What is melobdinium? Sounds like it'd just mellow a guy out.
 
I feel like its becoming so common they aren't being as strict or something. It is weird that there's no grace period to get off a supplement that was once legal

Meldonium is what Maria Sharapova tested positive for and lead to her suspension.

It's on the ban list. Rumors is that it's used in conjunction with steroids, but by itself there are debates if its an actual athletic performance enhancer. Apparently it increases the size of blood vessels and improve blood flow.

It's crazy that we let cards suffer when you have guys like Cowboy willing to go any day. Heck, throw a guy Dustin 5 bills and I'm sure he'd fight anyone. We, as fans, just can't punish guys that save cards. I'm sure more fighters would step up, offer their services, if d bag fans put down the haterade and showed appreciation for guys taking huge risks. It is like some "fans" learned nothing from 151.
