With all this talk about GSP coming back to fight Bisping for the belt, it makes me wonder if GSP would even be a top 5 middleweight. Can you really picture him beating Rockhold, Romero or Souza?

That being said, I wonder how he'd do at WW. His last few fights got closer and closer. Could you see him getting through Robbie? What about Wonderboy with his excellent TDD?

MW? No. All the top 5 MW would absolutely murder WW? Probably. I can see him beating anyone at WW, but I could also losing to most of the top 5 too.

You never know, he may still be able to score points

This question is impossible to answer because GSP maybe in his prime form (like when he fought Condit on his previous comeback) or he might be unmotivated GSP (like hendricks fight) or he may be completely out of shape and unmotivated (a far lesser version of GSP that we haven't seen)

Its hard to picture GSP defeating a fighter as large as Rockhold or Bisping, even if he's in shape...

Hard to say if anyone has an answer to the patented rush and smother tactics of St. Pier

He is better than Bisping, who is better than Rockhold, who is better than Jacare....

I'm with Luke Thomas on this one. GSP ducked MW for years, Bipsing wins the title and all of the sudden he wants to fight at MW AND get an instant title shot on top of that?

Pretty pathetic avoiding Anderson and bigger guys all these years but he's willing to do MW now because he sees Bisping as an easy fight. If he did fight Bisping and won, I bet he would Conor McGregor the title and drop back down to the avoid unfavorable fights.

He would get murdered by the top 5 MW's, even Bisping takes him IMO. As far as WW, who knows man depends on what shape he's in when he comes back. He could be in GOAT form or he could be ring rusted, bum knee GSP who has lost his riddum.

No one knows if he's rusty or not. He just put himself through two elite training camps just to be sure if he can still compete at the highest level. If him and his coaches believe that he can still compete at the highest level, then I have no reason to doubt them; they all seem very professional about it.

St. Pierre has been a guy who doesn't take risks in the cage or outside of it for quite some time. Not surprised he would try to move up in weight given a perceived weak champ.

Would love to see him come back with a more aggressive, striking oriented, DGAF mentality. I became a fan before and when he dethroned Hughes, whose style had become boring and simply "controlling." St. Pierre was the exciting up and comer who could KO, GNP, or sub anybody at the highest level at 170. Then after the Serra loss, St. Pierre, in most (not all) of his fights was an uber Hughes 2.0 in style.

I actually have no idea what to expect from him when he returns. He looked pretty clearly out of his prime in his early 30s when he retired. I think knee surgery took away a good deal of his explosiveness. Could see him being refreshed and refocused or could also see him come out looking stiff and getting marked up on the feet while looking for takedowns much less successly than in his prime.

Is this what MMA has come to where a fighter can be listed or considered in the top 5 of a division that he/she never fought in once? Really? No. That's like saying Reggie Bush is a top 5 RB in the NFL because he won a Heisman in college. Sorry, you can't be rated in a division you don't compete in.

War GSP. If he comes back, I hope he comes back to finish fights instead of simply control them. Not that controlling fights is bad, but man I'd love to see him come out and knock some people out.

Biologically he's past his prime. No question about that. But that doesn't mean he can't win a title at this point.

not at MW

wasn´t in his prime, not now

at ww he can be champ if he´s in good shape

He ain't knocking anyone out, don't think he'd take that kind of risk honestly.

We don't even know how he would got at WW post IV. He might get wrecked there… His last performance against Hendricks was awful.
