Rose & DWTS has really helped boost her popularity after a very brutal loss

Chael's popularity was at an all-time high after his losses to Anderson.

Who else's career really took off after a big loss inside the octagon?

I don't think she got popular because she lost... That was a flawless domination from Rose. Nothing good happened for her in that fight besides surviving until the fifth.

But to answer the thread, probably Gus.

Chael Sonnen lost to Anderson Silva at UFC 117. People completely forgot that tap actually happened.

As a fight fan, I never paid too much attention to PVZ but her loss to Rose made me pay attention because she went out on her shield like a fighter (for example like Robbie Lawler would). She never stopped trying or gave up.

Whatever happened with DWTS is beyond me because I don't keep up with it, but I contribute it to her youth and look.

Maybe Nam Phan after Garcia. The whole mma world was on his side right then

I already had my eye on Tito cause I heard he sparred with Tank Abbot.

When Tito lost to Guy Metzger due to a stupid & uncalled for standup… I waz immediately behind Tito 100% for his next few fights.

Conor McGregor. After losing in the octagon he got offered a $50M payday.

Good one! Add:
Anyone who losez or winz against McGregor!

Can't really say anyone that loses to Mcgregor.

But to me Aldo loss to Mcgregor got him more recognize to newer fans and acknowledge his reign as a champion by watching his old fights also. He was on Forbes 30 under 30.

The 'let me bang bro' dude after he wasn't allowed to bang.

DWTS is a publicity vehicle for celebrity. The producers don't just sit there and say "Oooh, we want Paige Van Zant on here! She's so tough, and fresh!"; PVZ's and/or Zuffa agent/management jockey for open slots on the show. The illusion of her being a "sought out celebrity" is planted, artificial demand created, and now this thread gets made. Zuffa/Heebok gambles correctly.
