Could Barão have won the fight if he was efficient with his energy?

Barao showed he has a lot of heart and that he still has a chin. Super close fight that imo could have gone either way. And obviously we have to consider Barao was just inefficient with his energy, spamming TDs against a much larger man in Jeremy Stephens, a guy who used to fight 2 weight classes above him.

Another terrible game plan by a top Brazilian fighter. Not sure what they're thinking lately.

Power shook him up. He didn't want to get hit again.

he was spamming tdds because he got hit with some bombs he turned a flat footed panic wrestler if u will

Tried to do the Conor.

At least Barao had what it took to make it to the end of the fight.

He won the 1st clearly and was looking like the same prime Barao, good jab, good leg kicks and setups.

Then Jeremy punched him in his jaw and the momentum changed.

"Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth."

Definitely, also if he had submitted or knocked out Stephens he would've won.

Does everything have to realte to Conor?
If you glued two bananas together, the Sherdog community would somehow link it to Conor and give credit to the sophisticated science of the "Touch Butt Academy Advantage".

Yes. He could have won if he continued the strategy he used in round 1. He was using a lot of footwork, jabs and head movement. He totally won that round. The second round he was really stationary and was an easy target for Stephens. Third round was a little better than the second but Barao looked really good in round 1.

He was fighting a bigger man, and was simply inefficient with his energy, yeh? It bacame a battle of energies, yeh? and Stephens came out on top, yeh? He was efficient, yeh? Barao moved up a weight class, yeh? and when, yeh? you are fighting, yeh? a bigger man, yeh? you, yeh? need, yeh? to be, yeh? efficient, yeh??

yeh???

The weight allowed Stephens to absorb Barao's shots. It was simply Barao fighting the bigger man.

No, just like conor they both are far worse than their opponents. Im suprised baraoe didnt get finished tho.

He got rocked by Stephens. That's when he "abandoned the gameplan."

This shit isn't a video game. Go down to a gym and get hit in the head a couple of times by a guy with one strike KO power, then see how clearly you think.
