What is the point of it? They basically want the fighters not to rehydrate before a fight with this crap. Some fighters like weidman already have bad weight weights and using IV's would help them rehydrate and feel healthy before the fight. Now banning IV rehydtration basically makes him go into fights not properly rehydrated. How is that supposed to help a fighter? Thats pretty much treating your fighters like shit and making them go into fights not 100%

Alot of fighters basically are unhealthy and dehydrated now before fights because of this , so why ban IV rehydration? Dumbest shit ever to be honest.

The IV ban has nothing to do with rehydration, and everything to do with masking. And if they're dehydrating themselves to the point that they need an IV, they should either drop some mass, or fight in a higher weight class.

How about don't cut an unhealthy amount of weight and dehydrate yourself to the point that you need to rehydrate using an IV in the first place.

How can they even be sure a fighter is masking something and not just trying to rehydrate?

So are you not allowed to use an IV for anything or is it just to rehydrate?
If youre legit sick and the doctor gives you meds in an IV are you screwed with USADA?
I dont understand whats going on here

If you're sick to the point that you need an IV then chances are you aren't fighting. So you have nothing to worry about there.

Why not just test fighters for PEDS during training camp and before IV rehydration? How is a fighter going to mask something if they got tested right before using the IV?

Yea but that still doesnt answer the question

They can't, that's why it's banned all together. It never had anything to do with weight cutting.

If the weight cut is so bad that they need the IV then maybe they are cutting too much weight and should move up in weight and not cut so much. The fighters are choosing the dangerous path of cutting excessive weight.

There are threads in which weight cutting is defended as part of the process ... Now it's unfair because they can't use IV"s

There are many legit reasons to have IV'S under most circumstances they are generally administered at a hospital or in a hospital type setting...

When it's administered in the strip mall next to a sign that reads "reverse the aging process " or by a "Dr" who comes to your home then chances are that its not for rehydration purposes...

How many fighters have medical facilities in their home or gym... With someone qualified to prescribe and administer them with out USADA losing their collective shit , because you know, mother fuckers tend to lie ....

If fighters are really needing that type of treatment then do it the correct way so you don't have to worry about getting banned ...

Or in simpler words "Don't fucking cheat" scum bag rat fuck....

No more extreme weight cutters; gonna have to fight guys your own size now.
