Fighters need to realize that they're professionals and that they should do whatever they think will benefit them. Kickboxers realized this early on. In the Netherlands, the fighters fight their teammates all the time and they all realize that it's just business.

Seems like this is a pretty common occurance at Jackson's.

Greg Jackson brought in GSP against Diego's wishes, Jones against Rashad's. Condit was one of the earlier Jackson's student and while he's never talked about any beef between him and Greg, he seemed to have an abrupt exit from the gym. Not to mention Greg bringing in Overeem.

And now we have Jones bringing in Romero without asking Brunson. Brunson says he's ok with it and that he understands that Jones needs to do what is best for himself tho...

edit: and it's really funny to see people's double standards regarding TJ Dillashaw. TJ did what is best for his career and everyone gave him shit for leaving TAM. And yet when someone else does it, they don't mind.

It's an individual climb to top. If it betters you, screw them.

Actually have no idea what's going on here.

That place sounds like a den of snakes sometimes. From the Diego Sanchez days to this, and Rashad, looks like a great place to be a fighter if you have a ton of talent.

Jackson-Wink is a heel stable...

I don't understand the problem here? It's not like they are fighting...? Is it because Romero blasted Brunsons brains out?

Who cares. They fought years ago.

And someone is training for a title fight.

Jones was like, "yo, how'd
you shake down usada?

Also, got a biscuit?"

Brunson is cool with it, it's all good.

I don't get why Brunson would even be salty, it's not like Joell was going to move permanently to Jacksons. It was just to help Jones. I could understand if Brunson was lined up to fight him but he isn't, infact Brunson should have also trained with Joel and benefitted also. His pride probably didnt let him though

Fuck all these idiots trying to turn MMA into a team sport. At the end of the day it's all about you, the individual fighter, go play soccer if you can't wrap your head around that.

What ? They are teammates and Brunson might not want Romero to see his training methods, techniques etc... for a future potential fight.

Damn i never knew professional fighters could be such babies.

Suck it up and take it as an opportunity to better yourself

Brunson was pissing blood for a week after the Romero fight.

This, obviously

the common theme you list is more talented guys being brought in without questions. literally ALL those guys who came in later without "approval" trump the vets in potential. obviously the wrong thing to do for camp trust, but a coach's dream is usually to bring out the best out of talented individuals.

Well, then he should have been better at fighting. Don't see why that should be a problem here to be honest.. Goddamn those a savage though.

It's not the same case for TJ. He did what he thought was best but he ended up losing the belt.
