Even after Aldo and Edgar falls off the top, there are still so many talented, exciting and young prospects, probably more than any other division.

Max Holloway

Conor beat Aldo, so we need him until he loses, else anyone else is a disputed paper champ

Fuckin Aldo

If Pettis could make 145, that would be great...

Holloway got tooled by McGregor so badly it isn't even funny. Probably Conor's most dominant fight ever.

Holloway was 21 years old at the time. Considering that McGregor was KOing top veterans left and right, Holloway did pretty good for himself. That fight was more than 3 years and 8 fights ago. Anyone who's followed the sport knows that Holloway is a completely different fighter now and is still only 24 years old. He's a hot prospect.

I like Conor at 145 but there was guy's he's fought he should never of shared the octagon with such as Marcus Brimage and Diego Brandao who were very small featherweights but at 145 Conor has fought Holloway, Poirier, Siver and Aldo and perhaps Mendes who walk about at a similar weight to Conor.

At 155 there's a bunch of guy's who are a similar size to Conor but also huge cutters who have no business fighting men who walk about the 165-170 mark such as Nate, Ferguson, Chiesa and even Khabib walks around at 194lbs.

Considering those fighters would put their body through such punishment to make their weight I'd imagine an advantage would go to lightweights like Conor McGregor, Poirier, Josh Thompson or Stevie Ray who haven't had to lose 40+ lbs of fluid to make the scale.

Lol at showing Conor stumble from his torn ACL.

While FW has great talent the casual fans - even some hardcores - never cared for the division. 145 fighters were considered small and even an amazing and dominant champ like Aldo had very few 'eyes on'. McGregor has done a great thing for FW by drawing attention to a talent-rich division that was unpopular. Does the division need him any longer? I am not sure. But it needed him or someone like him before his rise to fame to popularise a division which had talent but no public attention.

Its funny how a divison goes from weak to stacked just by a long term champion losing.Mw was super weak,Anderson loses exact same guys there and now its stacked. If anything fw is kinda weak. You have Conor/Aldo/Frankie,maybe Holloway who are the only guys in that weight class who have shown they can beat top guys at 145

LOL it's always funny when people bring up the he was young , inexperieced fighter angle for Holloway.
There's 3 years age difference.
He'd already had 5 UFC fights v's Mcgregors 1.
And you're not a prospect when you've already had 14 fights in the UFC

Yes but people also say brimage should never have been in there with conor.I remember thinking why is brimage getting this new guy he is 3-0 in the ufc. Then he got max who was anthor good matchup.Miller which turned into brando which i was actually more interested in because i still remember brandao from tuf and the dude was a monster on there. Then dustin, and siver who was if u listen to sherdog a gimme for conor. But a dude who was beating cub up a fight or 2 before until cub clipped im in a scramble.

Its kinda funny how much hate conor gets every win of his has an * by it according to sherdog

And McGregor was 24 years old. Holloway's beaten a couple of nobodies after his fight with Conor.

Why did you post a gif of Conor catching Max's kick, then stumbling because of his fucked up knee?

Considering that most fighters typically only have 10 good years in them, I think 3 years is a lot of difference in experience. Conor had been fighting nearly 3 years longer and had 6 more fights than Holloway. Holloway was 3-2 in the UFC when he fought McGregor with none of his wins over anyone notable whatsoever.

And Holloway is 24 years old now, with wins over Swanson, Oliveira and Stephens. At 24, Conor's best win was Holloway.

Yes, McGregor fell all on his own. Right.

I think Holloway could win the rematch if he stays away from the left. That kid is definitely something special.

No, even blocked kicks transfer energy.

... And? Why is this gif at all meaningful? McGregor blocked it. He had a fucked up knee. He stumbled. He got right back up. What are you trying to say with that gif?

Faber, Kid Yamamoto, Hominick, Florian, Mendes, Hioki, Korean Zombie, Lamas and Swanson were all legit guys. Sure they have fallen off but FW wasn't weak. Then you have guys who were LW monsters who dropped weight towards the end of their careers but are still great tests for up and comers, guys like Kawajiri, Guida and now Penn.

Outside of the UFC there are/were guys like Joachim Hansen, Patricio Freire, Bibiano Fernandes, Imanari, Galvao, Curran, etc. I could go on and on.
