Sure UFC 200 is the 200th NUMBERED UFC, but it's not the 200th event held by the promotion.

What was you ask?

UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann on March 3, 2012

A mostly forgettable forget card in which Mighty Mouse fought to a draw

here's the full card:

Main card:

Martin Kampmann def. Thiago Alves Submission (guillotine choke)
Joseph Benavidez def. Yasuhiro Urushitani TKO (punches)
Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall Draw (majority) (29–28, 29–29, 28–28)
Costas Philippou def. Court McGee Decision (unanimous) (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)

Preliminary Card:

James Te-Huna def. Aaron Rosa TKO (punches)
Anthony Perosh def. Nick Penner TKO (punches)
Steven Siler def. Cole Miller Decision (unanimous) (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)
Andrew Craig def. Kyle Noke Decision (unanimous) (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)

Daniel Pineda def. Mackens Semerzier Submission (triangle armbar)
Shawn Jordan def. Oli Thompson TKO (knees and punches)

Err this year is actually 2560 according to the Bhuddist calender. 2016 was a mostly forgetful year full of horses, carts and castles but no internet or electricity.

I was pissed when Thiago pulled a Dan Hardy with the takedown attempt. Alves could have won that decision iirc.

You are really invested in this "UFC 200 is not the 200th event".

Are you bored?

So what is ufc 200 if it's not ufc 200? Oh and everyone knows it's not the 200th event it's the 200th numbered ppv

You guys can't handle the truth
It's a losing battle dude, maybe if you start another shit thread in Mayberry you will get more attention, because after three failed threads about this subject the Wasteland is becoming your home.

This is like your 6th pick obsessed with numbers like this. The UFC considers UFC numbered events a big deal but doesn't even want the others Fight Night and Fox and Versus aren't flagpole events so at least Dana doesn't care about them as far as total numbers go. So I'm trying to say politely that these number analyses you do are kind of pointless. The UFC might celebrate years and the big number events but they have not cared otherwise.

If you are only counting PPV events....
There have been 4 "Ultimate UFC events" which were full PPV cards.
Plus there was UFC 37.5 which was a thrown together event after UFC 38 was already announced.
So at minimum, UFC 200 would really be UFC 204.5
But nobody gives a fuck.

it is the 200th numbered PPV event. thats what it means. doesnt include fight night or fox cards
