This is kind of amusing, every single UFC 200 promo tweet he sends out gets unanimously ridiculed and heckled, with calls for McGregor to be restored to the card. From reading sherdog, which is mostly anti-McGregor you wouldn't think UFC has made a misstep, but it seems there's an awful lot of hate for Dana & Zuffa and support for McGregor everywhere else on the web.

These twittertwats are probably clueless about MMA outside of about 10 fighters, hence the disparaging comments about the 200 card, but then again these are the people who actually pay for the PPVs

It's what I find so amusing about this board. If you're here you are an MMA hardcore fan. Casual fans don't lurk and post on MMA boards.

Our opinions will often not match that of the horde of casual fans that drive PPV buys from 200k to 1.2 million.

The casuals love Conor, the real fans love seeing Nate slaughter him, what would you expect?

Look at the majority of join dates of most people on Sherdog. You'll notice 80% are less than a couple years old. That says it all.

Lol it's true. :D

There's no such thing as a Twitter backlash against Dana, because he blocks everyone who says something he doesn't like (speaking from experience).

Twitter/Facebook and social media in general is where the reflex of his mainstream crossover shows up. Those guys, probably the majority, have no clues about sherdog or any other MMA forum and don't want to take part in it, most likely never cared about MMA before and this is the only time they're inspired enough to follow it. But they confuse supporting fighters with being fanboys/fangirls and defending them like Pop idols, and they think he will never be wrong, until he eats 3 to 5 losses and some brutal knockouts. Those fans will all disappear, they're in for the hype, not mma.

Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones for the light heavyweight belt and these morons are crying over Conor McGregor not figthing Nate Diaz in a pointless rematch?

It's really not a massive fight though. There wasn't even that much hype for the match when it was scheduled for 197. It's somewhat underwhelming.

It's pretty sad that the 'casuals' are more eager to call Dana out on his ego than the 'hardcore' support. Of course the only reason the hardcore brigade are giving Dana a free pass for this is their hatred for Conor. If it were Nate he 'pulled' we'd be all hearing about him protecting Conor and cries of 'just let him fight you bald f*ck'

Who cares about what casuals think. Id rather watch fights than watching Twitter and Facebook comments.

Those people only care about Conor McGregor. They don't give a shit about MMA in general.

Imagine the state of a person who shit-talks the president of a multi-billion dollar company because their favorite fighter did not meet his contractual obligations. Whats even funnier is that these people think Dana White (9% stake) calls all the shots. It hilarious.

Well, he's going to be losing hundreds a day if he does.
