Usually when a fighter loses four in a row its almost guaranteed they're given their walking papers. However, Pettis is a former champion whose only lost to the best and brings excitement every time. Does the ufc cut him and allow him to go to Bellator?

Yes. For the love of God, 4 in a row is 4 in a row.

Maybe, but he has that flashy style, so they may give him one more, what a rough spot he is in

If he loses his next one, he should go. He's showing no improvement at all and his striking has regressed. Old Pettis was best Pettis.

No he's a solid gate keeper like Cerone and sells decent.

Pettis vs Henderson III under the Bellator banner

But I think the UFC will give him a bit of lee-way. I reckon they'll feed him a bum in his next fight just to try get his groove back

UFC doesn't cut bangers, bro.
As long as he doesn't start
making it a habit of attempting
take downs on fellow strikers,
the fertitta's will probably try
& milk him for a few more high
risk, fan friendly fights.

ALTHOUGH.
Fuck if I don't wanna see
Gaethje vs Pettis

There have been exceptions before, and there will be another if he loses again.

Depends who he fights and how much $ he wants to stay after that. If he wants to much $ ufc will have no problem letting him go.

lol no, look who he lost to. Strength of opposition matters.

No, he certainly didn't lose to bums maybe a step back in talent to get his fight confidence back Pettis still has good value he could fight Conor that's a step back...

No but he's in a shitty spot if he has to renegotiate soon. He needs a drop in competition for a few fights tho

When you see the mentality of Hispanic fighters such as Nick, Nate and Diego Sanchez and Gil... Pettis doesn't have that, Pettis may as well be a Frenchman.

Seriously, of course they are going to keep him. He is obviously marketable his fighting style is easy on the eyes and its not as though the fighters he lost to were scrubs. You can argue he wont hold gold again or his game is not really evolving with his peers. Ufc can just give him a tune up fight or 2, get his confidence back and compete in the top 10. Also pretty Pettis is competing in what is the must robust and tough talent pool in the ufc, 55 division is stacked. He will be fine.

Has he pistol whipped anyone lately? That'll get you fired.

It would be for his own good. Go over to another organization for a couple years, get a handful of wins, come back a different fighter.
