"On the occasion of sudden and shocking death of one of the pioneers and giants of MMA Kevin Randleman. Express my sincere condolences to Kevin's family and all his friends and fans . I had the honor to fight with Kevin twice, both times in April 2004. He brutally knocked me out so I hit him back in December when I celebrated win by guillotine. Extremely powerful and incredibly explosive fighter who many will remember just after he defeated me, also his already legendary suplex, wrestling procedure which also knocked the floor of the ring with Fedor, in which Fedor could have a serious neck injury and even death, he's saved by sheer luck or maybe God's providence ... RIP Kevin "

Mirko being classy as always.

It's hard not to respect the talent of a fighter who could do this to a prime Mirko.

RIP.

Classy Mirko

RIP Randleman

Everytime I think of Kevin Randleman, automatically reminds me of Mirko KO & Fedor suplex....Everytime I think of Fedor, automatically reminds me of the suplex he survived and the beating he gave Coleman. Everytime I think of Mirko,The Randleman KO & Gonzaga head kick comes quickly to mind...other than that...I just watch porn and fap on snow bunny twerking videos....

I remember thinking when Kevin decisioned Maurice Smith, that no one was ever going to able to beat him.

Turns out Bas got an amazing decision (gifted?) to him, but even when he went on to beat Pete and Rizzo, i still thought this guy was never going to get touched again.

Being a huge Randy Couture fan in those days, I was routing against Kevin, but was still sure Randy wouldn't be able to beat him.

Amazing fight it turned out to be.

Kevin was the first guy I thought looked unbeatable in MMA,

"knocked the floor of the ring with Fedor"

That's wrong translation of his message in Croatian.

He posted the same thing in English afterwards.

I know...i just liked it haha

R.I.P. Randleman

Damn, how did he die of heart failure at age 44? That is really young. Randy was still fighting at age 44.

haha that's funny. I got into mma shortly after he lost to Chuck. I remember looking at Randleman and thinking the same thing. Just based on appearance alone, I thought all of his losses must've been flukes.

Also, you're right about Randleman/Randy. It's one of the most.underrated championship fights ever. Epic clash of two wrestlers with different styles. Randleman's freestyle largely won the wrestling battle, but Randy's versatility (developing bjj) kept him in the fight until he was able to wear Kev down. Once Randy got him down, Randleman's weakness off of his back was quickly exploited.

Perhaps, that belongs in another thread. I didn't come here to criticize him lol I came here to grieve with my Sherdog brethren ... my love for that fight just got the best of me.

I spammed Randleplexes in Mayberry last night. So fucked up over this.

RIP.

Dude is under no illusions as to how badly Randleman fucked him up... Good of him to say it.

Wonder how Mark Coleman is doing...
