Was reading a thread the other day where someone brought up the spider, and they alluded to his old antics of "clowning". Sure, after getting knocked out in embarrassing fashion by weidman, a lot of revisionist historians wanted to condemn his behaviour, however most of us are well aware of how crazy his nut-huggers would go when he did it to past opponents, e.g. "The matrix" and all that nonsense.
Silva got away with it for some time because he was able to easily outclass most of his opponents; one could argue that Johnson himself is far and away better than the rest of the flw division by a substantial margin, so if he wants to create more excitement in the lead up to his fights, perhaps injecting some showmanship and gamesmanship into his fights might not be the worst idea.
