And by like them i mean a fighter who continuously makes the same mistake over and over again despite the increasingly huge consequences it had each time.

Jones seems about as likely to injure someone In a fight as in a car accident, and according to this http://mmajunkie.com/2015/04/a-brief-timeline-of-ufc-champ-jon-jones-run-ins-with-authorities this started a while ago.

Same with Palhares who started his habit of trying to tear people's limbs off after they tapped (while on peds btw) early in his grappling career and despite all logic continues to this day.

It is completely useless to suspend them, because there is practically zero chance of them actually stopping it. Especially palhares, you basically watch the guy to see how ridiculous it would be if he does it again, and when he does it seems equally as ridiculous that you thought he wouldn't.

As someone who finds them incredibly fun to watch it's very frustrating, what are the promoters and fans supposed to do.

It's their life they can do whatever they want. But yes as a fan of the goat it is very frustrating.

Palhares gets increasingly punished though, Jones does not. From unsportsmanlike behavior, to the weigh in scuffle, cocaine, hit & run, there is always a way out for Jones.

Palhares on the otherhand, was suspended for 2 years for his indiscretions (and rightfully so).

Both should be holding belts in the UFC right now

Being the best fighter in the world helps.

Palhares got beat down by Alan Belcher. The goat has never lost.
Does that mean you can't win a title because you have a previous loss? If that the case how does Werdum, Rockhold, Lawler, RDA, Conor, Cruz, and MM all have titles?

What about the time when the ref had to stop the fight so Hamill didn't break Jones' elbows?

Jon may be a goat, but even a goat is powerless against a hammer.
