The year I got like 1 pair of socks for Christmas ended that for me.

I don't understand getting socks for Christmas that aren't like a funny gag gift, like you know socks with your favorite cartoon character or a curse words on them. I never got socks for Christmas.

Lucky you're a good man. You're kind, level-headed and I don't regret voting for you. Fawlty did put it best- you bring out the best in me, odds are you do that for most.
Thanks bro. I really appreciate this comment.

If I could wear a new pair of socks every day, that would be the dream. Socks are the only thing I ever tell anyone when they just have to know what to get me. I can buy everything else myself.

Yet you can't buy yourself socks?

Socks in America are like medicine. You can get them for a few dollars in much of the world but here it's a different story. Greedy executives will push the price of socks up to $40, $50, even $70 per pair. It should be a huge scandal but nobody is talking about it.

This is only a hunch, but when Homer won his election, he and the other far leftists probably tried to act like moderators. But had no badge though.
Your hunch is wrong, according to this admission by the Thug.
I've never been a rat. I've reported once in retaliation, a couple of times for porn. The rat responsible still scurries around here, not my place to out him though. And for the record, that had nothing to do with bringing down the forum. quite the contrary, it was about having conversation with posters from all sides, without fear of them being derailed by insults and attacks. And probably a third of the war room regulars were involved in one way or another. Sure it started out as right wing posters circling the wagons, but there's no fun talking in an echo chamber so others got brought in. The idea was intriguing at first, but I soon realized It didn't appeal to me and no good would come of it.
This post also doesn't do anything to assuage the feeling that something malodorous was cooking in this group. I'd be impressed if people had the balls to come out and admit their participation in this rebellion. I also now find it extra hilarious that @HereticBD, feeling left out, suggested over and over again it was some sort of left wing plot.

I just wanted to brag about myself for a moment, but I feel you. My buddy Noob posted some heinous shit a few years ago. I was mortified and enthralled, I couldn't even be mad at him. He went out harder than anyone I've seen, creative too.
I saw what you did there.

Umm, one of the things my travel agave t told me to bring to Jamaica was packs of socks to give as a gift because it's not readily available there.....so kinda the opposite I think

And yes I still tipped housekeeping, I just left them some unopened packs of socks too.

That was really nice. It was trippy how hard it was to get certain things there, like tennis balls. Or cold milk.

I think Ocho Rios had better markets. I mostly stayed on the resort for anything food and beverage related but I was able to find lots of shops. And the market workers weren't not too pushy, so I feel like they weren't desperate for money. I was actually afraid of how aggressive the street vendors were in Spain. I kept my change in an outer pocket to just give to them if after I said no they still wouldn't stop following me.

This thread got ugly. What in the world happened? Cubo and Lucky are both decent guys from what I've gathered. It didn't seem like it had the makings of a potentially ugly campaign, so I'm going to assume it came from their supporters. But I'm not really part of any of the "private circles" so maybe I'm just out of the loop.
Just the usual: monkeys in a knife fight.

Over a month of this stuff wears everyone down. Everyone starts off running a sort of gimmick for fun, but by the end of it everyone us just throwing insults to keep the thread moving.
There need to be a term for the time of day when your hangover wears off enough that you realize you are not going to be sticking to the morning's resolution of not getting drunk again that night.

I propose "lucky o'clock." Living the gimmick, for the L.
