I didn't expect him to come West, but if he does that makes it much more interesting

Hilarious to see him lose in the WC yoffs, one, and it certainly opens up the EC to be more competitive (both within themselves, and competing against the West in finals)

Probably something like Hayward, Marcus Smart and a pick.

Idk, Kobe beat the Big Three Celtics (who smoked LeBron in the second round) with Pau Gasol and the ghost of Lamar Odom. And he had to go through the Spurs to do it. LeBron needed Wade and Bosh to do the same. Against this pathetic East competition who’s to say what Kobe would have done.

I agree LeBron is better than Kobe of course, but it’s not like Kobe has no room to tak.

Lebron has never had a first-round exit. With the exception of his first two years, he's never missed the playoffs, despite playing on some truly awful teams. Kobe won titles with other all-time greats, and didn't do so hot otherwise. While I agree that now the East is god awful, it's hard to make that argument in the mid 00's when some of the East teams James competed against [with absolute trash teams] and often beat were damn fine contenders.

LeBron took the 08 Celts to 7 and lost in a duel between him and Raul Rierce in Boston. Koobs got laughed off the fkin court by that same team with more help lmfao.

If you can't tell the difference between prime Pau and floundering Love, you can't be helped and your opinion can't be validated.

I didn’t say there’s no difference. But your position is that Pau Gasol is an all time great which is insane.

You don't think Pau is one of the all times at C/PF? Say top 30?

If not, list 30 at the position that were better than prime Pau. I'll wait.

All this talk about celtics and lakers battle gets me hungry for the days teams didn't just engage in 3pt chucking contests.

Pau and Kobe's mid range game and the triangle O, big men that weren't just 6'7 stretch chuckers.

    10th in Assists
    17th in Blks
    17th in Pts
    33rd in True Shooting %
    11th in VORP

ESPN has him ranked as the 53rd best player of all time. And VORP might be one of the best indicators on all time lists. He'll, he's ranked 12th as C this past season, while still well out of his prime.

I like Pau a lot but he was a horrible matchup for the Celtics. I've never seen such a big dude act like such a bitch.

Mason is on the Juice train hard. Honestly would be okay with PG and resigning Julius. I think BI is going to have a breakout year. Sleepy has been putting in work this off season. He's coming for people's necks next season.

What was his deal this past season? Didn't follow the Spurs much and it seemed like there was some weird falling out over the severity of his injuries?

And yet, he had a solid case for winning finals MVP in 2010 when the Lakers beat the Celts in 7.

This is what happens when some common narrative distorts reality, it’s just something people reiterate as if it was fact and because they have shit memories it becomes truth to them.

    Pau in the 2010 finals
    18.6pts
    11.6 reb (real soft huh)
    3.7 asts
    2.6 blks (softy)
    1.8 TOs

On 48% from the field. A much more efficient line than the MVP of the series, Kobe, who shot 40% with 4 TOs per game including a 6/24 game 7.
