I didn't say shit about Kobe individually. Pau would've done even more if he didn't spend every moment whining in 2007-08

Love PER 34th all time, Pau 43rd
Offensive Rating Love is 38th and Pau is 97th
Total rebound % Love is 7th, Pau is 96th
True Shooting % Love is 88th, Pau is 110th
Win shares per 48 Love is 37th, Pau is 61st

Pau has better Defensive Rating, win shares, and VORP but Love has a big advantage in some advanced stats too. As for the value of VORP, Jason Kidd has a higher VORP than Magic, Shaq, Olajuwon... and Pau has a higher VORP than Durant lmao. That makes him better? Not saying Love is better than Pau but statistics don’t tell the whole story.

I probably don't have all the details, but he was cleared by NBA doctors to play. His vaguely defined "team" did not think he was ready to play, so he sat it out and spent his time rehabbing or some shit.

He took over and the raps had 1 total playoff win in 16 years and 0 fifty win seasons.

His job is real safe. He is one of the best GMs in the league

It makes sense that Pau (17 seasons) has a higher career VORP than Durant (11 seasons).

Fatal injuries aside, Durant passes him in the next year or two.

    Pau’s max VORP was 5.6 / Durant 8.5.

And K Love is a damn good player, it’s too bad Lebron has ruined his career (life)

Exactly my point, same applies to Love. Same with win shares but when you look at win shares per 48 Love is way higher than Pau.

Let’s see if that’s the case when Love has retired and he has 3-4 seasons on the books as roughly 50% of the player he is today. (Which is already about 50% of the player he was in Minnesota)

Right that’s where the trade off is... I thought my first post was pretty clear but I guess not. Anyways if Love plays without LeBron next year his numbers will improve in the short term.

Some people are predicting LeBron to Denver. They're saying it's a lock that he is at least going to talk with Tim Connelly. Jokic is a big draw to LeBron because he's a big center who can protect the rim, hit free throws and shoot the ball. The only issue is it's gonna likely have to be a sign and trade to get him there. Either Harris or Murray have to go. But the Nuggets still have one of the best young teams in the NBA, which is exactly what LeBron is looking for.

Not really. Mr BEER said Pau was a top 30 PF/C all time.

I provided a list of key career stats (advanced and regular) and his historical place among PF/C that seem to support that claim.

Added the opinion that they were “pretty damn solid”

A simple thank you for that effort would have been fine.

If Kawaii commits to the Spurs, what will the Lakers do next to try to nab both Lebron and PG? I don't see Lebron coming to LA if he has to babysit a team full of immature kids and his only high-level teammate is Paul "Clutch" George.

Lonzo and Kuzma for Kemba Walker; who says no?

Sure, which I never argued against. And I provided stats that show that Love is ahead of Pau in every advanced statistical category you used except VORP. It’s not like Pau is Duncan or Barkley or something. He was a great PF/C with a long career. I think I just had a different conception of what “all time great” means compared to BEER.

    You’re welcome.

Oh, I get it, you were in the middle of an emotional conflict with someone else here and where as I just provided stats to one claim, you had a bunch of additional context about Mr Love involved.

    In summary
Pau Gasol Top 30 All Time PF/C? Yes.

Kevin Love also very good? Yes.
