2017 Green Bay Packers V2 What Gum Does Hundley Chew?

Time to watch Hayward be a stud for another team...

Packers letting Hayward go sure is a mystery.

Can't keep everybody. If you pay every player $5 million you'll only have 33 players. That doesn't count the players who make over that. With a $167 million cap and 53 players, $3.15 million would be the average. Every player that gets more than that means another has to get that much less. The players getting more than $6.3 million means more than one player has to get much less. Teams are forced to have many rookies as their minimum salaries are less. $465,000

It's time to end the salary cap

Yeah right. It would be like baseball. A couple of teams would have all of the good players.

How about a system where the teams draft and trade players and the NFL actually pays them according to their performance. Have the players union develop criteria or a voting system to rate players and they get paid by rank out of the revenue pool. It would put the emphasis on evaluating talent and allow teams to keep the players they draft.

A salary cap is antiquated, when a guy like Aaron deserves 20 million a year

Without a cap, almost all of the Packer's good players would be with another team that has more money to spend from billionaire owners. Maybe you aren't old enough to remember the NFL before the cap started in 94.

The parity created in the league accelerated it's growth. Now the huge salaries are hurting many teams as they have to pay a few players a lot of money so they don't go to other teams who are willing to way over pay them. The end result is that teams can't provide a quality supporting cast with the remaining cap money.

No defense. Another 3rd and long fail as they let Cam run.

Not a single GB linebacker will hang with McCaffrey running routes. Going to be a long day.

Shame to most packers fans myself included, all blinded by the return of the god, then now realizing they have THAT defense :(

Too bad Rodgers doesn't play defense.

Freaking McCarthy ,doesn’t play jones , two play huge gains ,wtf
