Fair enough, looks like they're having the same debate over at the mat.

And straggler is being called "Dake's Mom" over there LOL!

In both threads people are just spouting out their own experience which is basically "Bro Science". I'd like to see what an actual expert has to say on recovery time with 12 min of wrestling.

The poster Chingadiculous over on The Mat kills me with some of his posts.

In response to a "Why doesn't Dake wrestle more internationally thread":

"Word on the street is that in USAW's plans for Western Europe Grand Prix conquest DT would take Spain and Dake would be granted France. Not sure if there is a Grand Prix in Portugal, if so DT will likely try to make a power grab there so he can control the majority of the Iberian Penninsula."

The DT/Spanish Grand Prix stuff cracks me up.

Been reading about it but nothing I give any credence to. He's got a low profile on social media and always has. Not reading too much into it right now. I can't see him leaving.

Has Stevenson wrestled any Senior level events?

I know the kid is a prodigy but ranking a HS Jr over an NCAA Runner Up?

    Don't believe he has yet.

I'd love to see how he'd fare against some of our senior level guys though. For being so young his physicality is super impressive.

For me, he's the junior guy I'm most excited about (including Lee, Fix, Hall, etc) going forward. You can tell that kid just has the it factor. He's fearless and always seems to rise to the occasion. Also tough as nails. I expect him to be a senior level world champ.

We should find out a lot this summer at Juniors.

Before him Mocco was the best and most hyped HS HWT and one of the best and most hyped of any weightclass.

I remember he beat at least one NCAA AA while in HS but I he failed to medal at Juniors taking 4th place. If Stevenson can medal in his first year of eligibility it would be huge.

Yeah I was too young for Mocco. But everything I've seen points to Gable becoming one of the greats.

The impressive thing about his strength and physicality is that it's not like he's some kid that looks 30 and has muscles on top of muscles. He still has some baby fat. Once he gets on a legit weight program and fills out, he's going to be scary.

Was bored at work today so I was watching some matches. This is Rashidov (likely Russian rep at 61) vs. Higuchi (Rio silver at 57 who recently lost at Japan's trials). Rashidov is a friggin beast. I'm not sure how you score on the guy. So explosive and strong. Higuchi got on a couple deep shots but just couldn't finish. 61 is by far the weight I'm most looking forward to.

I was a sophomore when he was a senior and he was a man amongst boys. Pinned his way through the Beast of The East.
