the ironic thing is since then Vancouver has had a huge influx of Chinese mainlanders with loads of money (a key demographic that the NBA is appealing to)

They would've been better off just paying the penalty for being under the cap floor. That penalty would've been divided up and given to the players on their roster and the Lakes would then have another chance this offseason or next to try using that money on something of substance. As it is now they're committed to Dung and Mozgoof for like $35 mil/yr until the 2020 offseason lmfao

fair pt, however you can't tell everyone w/ a straight face you're no longer tanking and fail to pay the minimum salary. That's literally what Donald Sterling did in both SD and LA which is really the main reason the owners wanted him gone, not his racist remarks to some sidepiece

only two teams last year failed to do so, and barely at that

one will be traded, the other will be waived and have their contract extended......shit, I'm assuming haha

Could have just handed out one or two year deals. Didn't have to give out anything more than that or do what fausti said and just pay the penalty.

Jerry West was the reason for the majority of success the Lakers have had. Kupchak isn't a bad GM either but Jim was god awful in whatever role he played.

Team owners vetoed the deal since they owned the NOH franch. Had nothing to do with the league doing or not doing anything

And I agree about West. Lakes definitely wouldn't have won their titles in '09 and '10 had West upon his exit from Memphis not arranged for the Jizzlies to ship Pua to LA
 
Why is the cost of living lower in Dallas than Houston? Dallas is several degrees cooler and the local economy is stronger. Strange.

If that's not clear enough he recently reiterated the facts:
