Oh yes he was. Relatively, as I say.

Don't look at his resume. Nobody had good resume back then. There was nowhere to build it from.
Freaking Maurice Smith, one of the best fighters of that era, the innovator of sprawl-n-brawl, came to the UFC to fight for the title with the losing record.
Yet, he was one of the best fighters, and a champion in a rival org.

it's not the truth though. Sarah D'Alelio or Ediane Gomes don't have a +7in height and reach advantage and +40lb weight advantage on Ronda.

the more appropriate comparison is, do you think Ronda could beat someone like Gabi Garcia in an MMA fight? and then the next question is, do you think Ronda can beat 3 Gabi Garcia's in a row without gloves in the same night?

and even that's not a good comparison because the men Igor fought could actually throw proper punches, Gabi can't even do that.

people look at stats and records too much. look at Randy Couture, his record is shit if you compare it to the way people talk about him. he's like a legendary fighter, but his record looks like a journeyman nobody fighter.

Man, Varleans is eating those hands right to the grill! That was when MMA was still in the underground days. I'd like to see any fighter pull off 10 wins in a row standing toe to toe like Igor did.

Im afraid not... Fulton fought whom he fought, while you could argue that Igor fought mainly sambo dudes. Cant really accuse them of being one-dimensional...

Both of them fought mostly nobodies.

"Sambo dudes" mean nothing. They're completely unproven jobbers in MMA. The average Sherdogger isn't one dimensional either, we are equally shit at everything.

but 4 fights in 1 night like he did at IAFC, is impressive.
Not all tournaments were like that.

Stiebling did it, Ricardo Morais (5 fights) too..
