On March 1,9,30 he fought 3 opponents in 1 night and he finished them all. Bare knuckle might I add. They don’t make fighters like they use to.

Well sure it is to some degree

They were all nobodies but just the sheer volume of wins is impressive

Actually, the guy on the gif above wasn't a nobody.

This is Paul Varelans, relatively good fighter for that era. Not a top 10 in any way, but relatively good

I always saw him as a #2 Russia/post-Soviet region fighter in MMA history. Well, until now that Khabib became UFC champ, so Igor moved to #3

There will always be silly posts like this one.

Back in the early days not every event was filled with top ranked A level MMA fighters

Very impressive, you can say he fought nobodies as much as you want, but these were days when the fought bare knuckled with hardly any rules, it only takes one good shot to lose a fight and back then there were many more ways to actually get hit with a good shot, so Igor survived all those fights which even against lesser competition is still very impressive.

When you're beating guys who are literally twice the size of you and several of them in one night, you're a beast. No matter how much of a nobody they are perceived as. He definitely wouldn't do that in the UFC, but it's still crazy.

    Young Igor was a monster.

Ronda could have beaten 3 jobbers like Ediane Gomes and Sarah DAlelio every night of the week, and they're more credentialed MMA fighters than most of Igor's opponents. It's about as impressive as Travis Fulton winning 20 fights on the regional circuit in one year.

I doubt if anyone fighting today would be able or even willing to do the same thing.
Igor was the most feared fighter in the world back in the day.

I remember hearing a story that said that whenever Igor came down to visit the little Russian town near where he lived, it was someone's job to ring the church bell if he was in a bad mood. That way everyone knew to avoid him for the day.

Still one of the most intimidating men ever to compete in MMA. Also one of the hardest hitting.
