PRIDE(and World) Heavyweight title was far bigger and more prestigious than the UFC HW title.

And GSP lost to Serra so the cans argument doesn't really work. Werdum, Bigfoot and Hendo weren't cans. And Fedor was 39 and 40 when he fought Fabio and Mitrione and both hit 10x harder than Serra.

Man, that cherry-pick at Bisping tho

A LOT of WW’s and MW’s were just salivating at a crack at Bis cause they all knew hed be the easiest shot at the MW title that they were ever gonna get.

No discredit to Georges career prior to that point, shit even beating Bis is a feather, he just got a giant prize doing it tho

All GSP eh? Bisping refusing to defend had nothing to do with it? UFC allowing Georges to come out of retirement, having 0 career fights at MW had nothing to do with it either?

GSP seized an opportunity. Bisping and Whittaker fucked up the MW division at least as much as Georges.

easy prediction ... he has\had a health issue due to putting on extra weight etc ... now he will lose weight and it will be "healthier" for his body not to carry so much muscle and try to eat less .. this will put him in either WW, or LW .. Easier fight is definitely LW but if RDA sneaks in it could make it interesting !! (he don't want them Woodley bombs )

As for competition, Fedor has beat more top 10 ranked Heavyweights than any HW in MMA history except for Nogueira, who Fedor beat 2x.

Bisping was the one who was ducking. GSP was moving up a weight class.

Yeah, half a dozen UFC champs, k1 champs and Olympic medallists.

Must have been predetermined, as no one can achieve that level of success without it...

Perhaps not great by modern standards but certainly great by Fedor standards.

I know most people are binary and think in terms of black & white but I'm not saying 100% of his wins were due to predetermined results. Also my initial post was in reference to the countless cans Fedor fought not the legitimate fighters he beat.

I don't recall any WW champ after GSP outclassing and dominating his challenger. TWood was mostly unscathed against Demian Maia, but that was because Demian's offense was limited to failed takedown attempts.

At least he vacated. Something the UFC won't make Conor do.

What is a higher number, the number of times Fedor defended his title, or the number of pro wrestlers he beat?
