Well yea went 5 rounds he is bound to get hit, but OSP only landed like 2 really good shots that didn't even faze Jones. Lets not forget this was Jon fresh off all his legal troubles and dealing with a completely different opponent than what he trained for. DC didn't look amazing against Silva and said the same thing. You train for 1 certain guy with a certain style then at last second get someone who fights completely different and it isn't always easy to adjust to that cause you were so focused on who you were supposed to fight and how you'd react to them. DC dominated Silva, but still caught a lot of flak from people who expected him to finish and perform better.

Really don't give a shit about dc vs silva, and that's completely irrelevant to how mediocre jones looked vs osp. We just recently saw manuwa knock him the f out, and in the past we saw someone like mousasi dominate him with grappling; while jones was out, he was up to his eyes in juice, hiding from tests, and power lifting, it's not like he was sitting on the couch.

Not sure what's "laughable" about it, who cares. The guy can fight and has many other strengths.

Clearly you have an agenda and don't really intend to discuss this if you can't understand the point I was making by bringing up DC's comments and similar experience about last second opponent changes. So whatever bro

I think i voted 6 or 7.He doesnt have 1 punch knockout power but he can hurt you if he catches you right. He just has average power, but it doesnt really matter he doesnt need huge power to dominate.

Right. And you're altruistically defending jones, as opposed to being an obvious/blatant nut hugger

Nothing we don't already know. But as DC essentially said, he makes up for it with a diverse use of hellbows, knees and kicks.

Old boxing adage comes to mind: punchers are born, not made. Jones was born with hellbows.

As opposed to you being an obvious hater and completely writing off anything that doesn't agree with you even when its the words of DC himself talking about how it can be difficult to switch opponents at last second. But what would DC know? He is just the LHW champ, his mma knowledge can't even begin to compare to some keyboard warrior who considers getting off the couch a major accomplishment

His arms are too long to really punch that hard. But him not being in love with his hands is what makes him such a fantastic fighter. He uses all of his tools and this opens up his creativity widely. Power punchers become one dimensional because they fall in love with their hands so much as KOing someone must be a helluva drug. This shouldn't be a knock on Jon. It's part of what makes him such a good fighter.

That's just bullshit. Wilder and Anthony Joshua have similar reach and they hit harder than rumble....

A good eye poke is basically the same as a very hard punch so at the end of the day Jones is still a great fighter that does what he has to do to win.

Cormier should be thanking his lucky stars for that. Imagine what Jon would do to Cormier if he punched like AJ. Cormier would go back to HW.
