“This Is America”

Yep thank Robert Byrd, Al Gore Sr, and George Wallace....revisionist
Thanks for that text wall with no sources and no disambiguation.

Never did I say that every Democrat voted for civil rights. I said Democrats passed it-- which is true. It passed on the strength of strong Democratic majority in Congress and was signed into law by a Democratic president.

Your idea of "doing something" is a handout from the government. Blacks have gotten so much success from Democrats giving them stuff in 60 years....
Black people are just as free to be successful with the federal SNAP program in place as they would be without it.

What is the "New Deal" the Republicans are offering to American blacks? They simply want to cut all welfare spending-- they have nothing to offer in its place.

The fact that people like you think this would solve the black community's problems shows what Republicans really think about the black community--- ie. they are lazy and feckless.

You mean Lyndon B. Johnson the racist? I notice you don't want to talk about the actual names and positions of the people involved, just keep repeating "Democrat" and take all the credit.

Well that's the problem. You don't listen to modern hip hop so you think it's all trash. Most mainstream hip hop these days isn't about guns and hoes. That was the 90s.
Ok so what should I be paying attention to? I went through a phase a couple years ago of listening to newer rap music and honestly I was shocked at how lazy and awful it was.

Some of the Stuff I was listening to quite a bit was Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Tyga, Big Sean....are these not representative of popular mainstream rap? Or am I that out of touch.

So under "Democratic Socialism (which isn't REAL socialism) how do we prevent in the USA what happened in Venezuela which the same "Democratic Socialists" claimed was the standard example of their vision 10 years ago?

Sanders: These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in places such as Venezuela

Yea its because they arent the same thing

have you noticed that Scandinavia is not collapsing like Venezuela ? Its because that isnt a socialist country

Socialism is not tax dollars for healthcare and education

Socialism is not a progressive tax structure where people pay higher taxes for services and rich people pay more money

What industries is bernie going to nationalize

just stop you havent got a clue what you are talking about "socialism"

It's trap, it's supposed to be like that. Obviously he's capable of more lyrically.

100 mi views for something that sounds repetitive, same beat over and over, same rythm. Hiphop really sucks ass, at least in Jim Crowe era blacks made great music.

Most people I know are sympathetic to what people went through but unfortunately the past has bin used as a political weapon to cause anger rather than a solution.

The politics of resentment has bin used to keep people from realizing their potential more than present day "oppression".

Edit- In before some dweeb points out bin/been.

How can a just solution be implemented when there is an unbalanced amount of political and economic power involved in the process?

It's rap not rhapsody.

The beat is supposed to be repetitive.

Oh no...lol. Big Sean and Wiz are the only people on that list that I consider rappers, and they're not good ones.

I mean, you don't have to listen to hip hop at all. It also depends on how old you are. The younger rappers are generally rapping for a young audience. There are some very talented authors writing children's books, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna read them, haha. If you're a grown man, listen to other grown men. I'm not a hip hop expect, but J. Cole, Kanye, Wale, Jay Electronica, etc are doing good stuff. Even younger guys like Kendrick and Chance are making more mature music. All of these artists are wildly successful. Kendrick just won the Pulitzer.

Now you guys have moved the goalposts to Scandinavia but 10 years ago it was Venezuela, so the question stands

Trap music isn't even that bad when you understand they're not even trying to be good in the traditional sense.

The whole purpose is just to make something that sounds good. The lyrics have to blend with the sound and they don't have to mean anything for that.

They're just trying to make something you can dance to at a club or bob your head while you're driving. That's why you're seeing an even bigger EDM influence in rap, too. It's about the sonic quality, not lyric quality.

What dont you get ? Listen to Sargon hes not fake news to you people right ?

Everytime bernie uses the S word like you he is using it incorrectly and for many years I wish he never woulda said it because of the way goons like you foam at the mouth when they hear it and it wasnt what he meant

Im not moving the goalpost on socialism im trying to tell you exactly what it is

Those euro countries are not socialist countries and anyone who uses that term is incorrect and when I was younger and didnt know any better I was guilty as well but that doesnt mean ya cant learn a thing or 2 along the way like you are today

You're not making any good points, you're just saying things that you are bitter and insecure about.

Nobody needs to forget their family. Not you, not me, not black people. I don't forget about my parents and grandparents, and I would never demand that someone else does just because their black and it makes you uncomfortable.

My great-grandfather came to America, his son fought in WW2 and raised a family, his son pursued a career and moved to the suburbs, and that guy's son is me. That is a direct line of influence. What your parents and grandparents did is the biggest influence on your current life.

It is some incredibly ignorant, and stupid shit to constantly say that only black people need to stop remembering the lives of their parents and grandparents. It's not just stupid, it's transparent too.
My grandparents grew up in the Great Depression and started a farm from some funds obtained through the New Deal. What are way none of that affects me.

I was considered poor because I have to wait two or three years after everyone else in order to get the new Nintendo or Playstation because my mom was young and single.

Even that has little effect on me these days. I was born in 1986.

Racism can never happen again, right racists?
There you go.

It's actually something in between

"No one could ever be hurt by racism again"

And

"All white people alive today should feel immense guilt over what happened almost one century ago."

But I realize this isn't much of a place for Middle Ground. Have fun battling it out.

Just like Jordan Peterson says, you're still going to have to live with the losers. Keep that in mind if you keep going for the win win win.

What a load of shit.
How dare you. The left literally needs that in order to bolster their argument.

Logic sure as hell wasn't doing them any favors.

Next, studies will be showing that the only way to ease the pain is generations of wealth transfer and reparation.
