“I Won That S**t” : Understanding The Battle Mentality Of The Diaz Brothers

The Diaz Bros are what militaries have always referred to as "cannon fodder".

Sun Tzu would laugh at their strategy and tactics, or more succinctly, lack thereof.

Any Army that marched to battle with the mentality of the Diaz Bros would end up littering the field with their own corpses.

Why didn't this shit take off?

"The fact that neither Diaz has been finished in the last 10 years......"

So this article was written before the Thomson fight?
Thomson's stoppage of Nate was ruled an NC due to "bitch ass lady sounds" emanating from Thomson.

War is, and has been for several centuries, about using your brains and fighting intelligently, taking smart risks and avoiding dumb ones, in adapting your tactics to force your opponent to fight where you're the strongest and they're the weakest, to retreat when necessary in order to counter-attack at a time you're likely to succeed. Warriors are men who can think under fire, who react in a way to achieve the mission goal, however that is defined.

In the fight between Nick and Condit, Condit was the one who fought like a warrior, like someone who was trained to fight on a modern battle field. Diaz, who just marched forward with no adaption to what Condit did, with no plan B, fought like an infantryman of centuries ago, when generals sent soldiers out to march straight into then enemies fire. Anyone who's been through even basic training in any branch of the military will tell you that.

There's a lot to be said for the Diaz's, they're tough, they're persistent, they're give it their all and aren't afraid to take or give punishment. But they're not adaptable enough, not tactical enough to be great warriors.

Exactly this, it's like Patton said the objective isn't to die for your country it's to make the other bastard die for his. Diaz brothers don't fight smart enough to pull out wins, they walk forward eating punishment then complain that they got beaten by a decision when the fight ends, seemingly with no regard for the rules and strategy of the sport they fucking compete in!

Diaz brothers fight specifically to not get finished and bitch about the decision. They won't make adjustments or take chances to win a fight. When they are exciting is when the other fighter fights exactly the way they want.

Nate got knocked out by Thomson and still was saying he's a coward who ran away and hits like a girl afterwards. These guys are completely delusional.

That's what Hendricks said about Wonderboy too after he got destroyed. It's crazy how they come up with this stuff in their head.

neither of them ever wanna take a fucking fight, so who cares.

I bet Nate Diaz thinks he beat Bendo and RDA

Against RDA, he told us what anyone watching could see. He said:
"I know what I can do. I had to come and get paid. I had some issues and was injured."
“Regardless, I'm going to be here, and show up and show what I can do. I just wish I could've been in better shape and had better sparring. Next time"

Next fight was against Michael Johnson.

Against Bendo, Nate said:
"I didn't perform the way I wish I could have. I got a punch in the eye pretty early in the fight and things were blurry. They never came back. I was waiting for it to recover, and when it did I was going to come back strong. But it never did. Ben did great. He landed the good shot early. But whatever, that's what happens."

If you're talking about Nick, I got nothing. That guy seriously hasn't ever lost a fight.
I don't even think he talked to anyone after losing to Sherk.

common etiquette to post some cliffs or a tl:dr bro.

Posting a link is lazy.
I sometimes wonder who is lazier.. guy who posted a link or the guy who can't even click on that link.

People can overthink retards words and actions as being profound or deep

Ooh, the great MJ. One fight away from being a 0.500 UFC fighter. He's an amazing 1 - 3 in his last 4 fights. THE MOST OVERRATED FIGHTER IN THE HISTORY OF MMA.

So Nate wins 2 of 3 rounds from MJ and his dumbass fans think that makes him some great fighter. MJ certainly isn't RDA.

Especially if the people doing the overthinking are also 'tards, or dope smokers, or dope smoking 'tards.

He said, I bet that he thinks he won against RDA and Bendo.

I posted his comments after losing to both of them where he acknowledged that he lost.

And this is what you get out of it?
Sad.

We take a look at what makes the Diaz brothers tick.

War. It’s as much a part of the history of humanity as anything you could ever possibly think of. As deplorable and regrettable as it might be, for thousands of years people have fought amongst themselves for their land, for their wealth, for their honour and even just to satisfy that undeniable craving that has always been – and will continue to be – a mainstay in the human condition that has been with us from our earliest days right up until now.

And though, in the modern day, war is still as prevalent as it has ever been, we now see more commercialised and structured ways for the warriors within our society to vent their lust for action. Just like the gladiators of old, in present-day combat sports, we have a select number of men and women who perhaps – had they been born in a different time or place – would be the very ones leading the charge on a soon-to-be-bloodied battlefield, with both sword and shield in hand as they prepare to express themselves in their rawest form.

Though many fighters in the UFC fit these criteria, there are few who would argue that the classical notion of the ‘warrior’s spirit’ is embodied – perhaps more than anyone – by the brothers Diaz, Nick and Nate.
