Lol, why don't you share an example of one of these many moments of him not showing class? He hasn't changed since becoming champ, still an honest, relatable, humble, chill, and down to earth guy.

At this point in their careers there should be no doubt that Weidman is a superior fighter to Silva, and it's not particularly close either. At some point the Silva fanboys are going to have to admit Weidman had an answer for everything Silva did, and Silva didn't. He shut down his counter game and Silva has never been a great striker when he's leading - he couldn't create the openings needed to out-strike him; Weidman's broken rhythm and intelligent pressure messed with him, made it very unclear with his attacks and then constantly reestablished the distance between them, always moving and used feints and non-committal strikes mixed with intentional ones to confuse him. Weidman out-struck him in the clinch the 2nd fight, on the ground in both, and from distance throughout both fights. He also out-grappled him in both fights and actually showed an adjustment in the only aspect of the fight Silva won, which were low kicks.

There was nothing flukey about the 1st fight. The way Silva's leg broke from the leg check is rare though, but iirc there was a report of a crack after the first check. For all we know it could have been the accumulated years/Silva's shin deteriorating from all the training (some parts don't really seem to heal), as you see that shin break more common in training. Damage can build up and with regular fights parts of your shin can turn really weak. Silva made a pretty novice mistake himself though, by not setting up his shot/target area for the low kick after Weidman forced the reaction with a body kick (and it's the muscle area beside the shin that's supposed to be taking the impact for those low kicks, not the shin).

Silva still got 10-8'd in the 1st round imo and Weidman was never in danger or even necessarily in a bad position in either fight, knocked him down in both (including in a clinch Silva initiated), damn near KO'd him 3 times in the first fight (left hook, and then a right hand and left hand g&p).

People will make excuses like they did after the first one but it is what it is; Weidman proved he's legit and the best MW in the world atm, but there has been excuses for every fight leading up to this. "He got lucky against Hall," (lol, he cut off the cage and timed and positioned Hall's circling into that left hook), "Sakara had a long layoff" (despite the fact that Weidman had a fractured rib), "He looked bad against Maia" (despite easily winning, out-grappling him and not losing a round imo, and having a 32 pound cut in 10 days), "Munoz was injured", "Silva was clowning" blah, blah, blah. Lol, it's ridiculous.
I've seen no one criticise his wins over Hall, sakara or Munoz - get a grip you clown shoes
