I think Trujilio's skill set is a bit overrated. Even his power is overrated. The shot he hit Varner with was a nightmare. Varner was trotting forward having almost 0 left in the tank and Trujilio winged his best haymaker.

Let's be honest, Trujilio is a striker and nothing more. That being said, with the exception of Varner he hasn't beat anyone decent even with his striking. Bowling? Bowling is tough but hardly a technician. Njokuani destroyed bowling, and relieved him of his consciousness with one hook.

Pearson is a great neutralizer and a nightmare to guys with sub-par striking variety.

Pearson got hurt by Cole Miller from a single shot, just sayin
yeah he's technical but he's gonna have to be on his bike and so damn sharp to avoid every shot, and I doubt Trujillo's camp haven't at least tried to address his "wild" style after his jackpot win against Varner.

I gotta lean towards Trujillo catching him and ending it shortly after.

His close quarter work on Barboza in the first round was straight up brilliant. At least on paper, Barboza is two standard deviations more technical than Trujilio, with Trujilio probably hitting harder.

There is a podcast where he talked about his plan to neutralize Barboza and he recognizes where it failed as well. Pearson is a smart guy.
