You know, I've never felt like it was his chin as much as his natural reaction to being hit. Mir is similar in that respect IMO, the 2nd Nog fight being an exception. Some guys get hit and instinctively defend well allowing them to recover, and some just sort of stop defending.
I don't know, maybe I'm way off here, but he doesn't seem to have the immediate sense of urgency to survive when he gets hit.
