there's a different angle that's been posted which shows Anderson's head getting snapped back rather violently. That punch packed a lot of power and landed right on the button... not to mention Silva's hands were down.

Anderson's head was cranked all the way back when he got punched. When punch landed it really over extended his neck

It was also because Silva was leaning backwards with his chin up. He wasn't standing very stable and he couldn't roll with the punch. So a large part was the angle of his head/chin. Just look at how much his neck and head snap. That's what matters.

Weidman didn't seem to have good leverage or speed on that shot. It was very surprising to see AS knocked out by something like that considering how well he's taken punches in training and in big fights.

Truth is Anderson has been so good at slipping and rolling with punches and never getting caught flush that we never knew how good his chin was. So many of his fans tried to pretend he ate a HBomb, which could not have been further from the truth.

Weidman caught him good but he had no where near the power in that punch that he is capable of nor the type of power in that punch that we have seen so many other fighters shrug off.
