Of course Anderson would be the favorite and likely destroy Weidman.

Weidman is young and hungry and Anderson is getting old. It would be interesting to see Weidman take down Andy and possibly mount him like Chael did in the second fight. I think Weidman could do more with that position.

Anderson needs to fight someone and soon. He's not getting any younger and some fighters can get old overnight. People just need to accept that Anderson will always be the favorite by a large margin and for good reasons. Nuthuggers act like Anderson is too good to fight anyone, but he has fought many worse fighters than Weidman during his title reign.

Just let them bang.

Weidman is the best grappler in the division when talking about MMA. Anderson isn't an elite level grappler. Forget Jacare, forget Sonnen. Weidman is your man. He might lose, he might win. Either way, he deserves a shot at the strap.

How can you possibly know that? Ever heard of the silent majority? I am a huge Silva fan and I think that Weidman is the next guy he should fight at MW. Weidman hasn't really done much to deserve it, but there is literally no one else that deserves it more at MW. It kind of sucks for Weidman to have to fight Silva this early in his career, but when Silva retires, I can see Chris being MW champ.

Mark my words, Weidman will be Silva's next title defense.

Weidman is a step down in competition from Yushin Okami

Personally, I see Weidman somewhere between Okami and Nate. Man, watching Okami just break like that was crazy. It makes me think how we really don't even know how mentally tough Chris is. Hell, there's a lot we still don't know about him in general. But Chael going into the 2nd fight, people thought he was the most mentally tough guy a fighter could face. Then after that fight, the first thing from everyone here was "HE MENTALLY BROKE!", "WHY DID HE FREEZE UP!?" lol.

I really wish we could see more from Chris first to see where he really stands in the division against the best while making a bigger name/threat for himself but he's pretty much gotta get in there now.

This is not a new story TS. When Andy is on his right mindset, he always destroys his opponents. I personally think Weidman has the potential but he lacks the experience on going to the deep waters

I just assume Anderson destroys everyone at 185 until proven otherwise.
