Not really, but it is his biggest weakness that I've seen though.

After 3 solid rounds I think he coasted in the 4th, trying to conserve energy for the last round as he felt Machida didn't have enough power to stop him anyway.

Yes, if you slow down in a fight due to cardio then your cardio and rhythm need work. He needs to be able to go full speed for 5 full rounds. Cormier said in the post fight show that Weidman's few losses in wrestling were due to poor cardio. This is a vulnerability that can be exploited by his opponents.

I can def see saying it needs improvement or it wasnt the greatest but I don't think it was in any way bad. He was surely very inactive in the 4th but come on the guy was welcoming Machida to engage till the end.

Your thoughts?
It's REALLY bad.You must consider that Machida doesn't pressure at all and fights at a low pace.Nothing happened in the fight until the fourth round and he was already a zombie lol

He ate some huge body kicks back-to-back, so that probably had something to do with him slowing down. Cardio obviously isn't his strongest asset, no matter how you look at it.

Also, Machida played his cards right: he pushed the pace as soon as Weidman started to slow down and stand in front of him, and didn't allow Weidman to really recover at any point during the 4th round. Every time Weidman took big breaths, Machida was going full Rory MacDonald: methodically stalking Chris up against the cage and putting together anything and everything he saw openings for.

considering his size, looked pretty good. He looked massive out there next to cheeta, or cheeta a really small MW.
