Well... uh... he is the welterweight GOAT and has dominated many more top fighters than Hendricks.

People also ignore the fact that GSP was a shell of his former self when he fought Hendricks.

Only BJ Penn fans think that was close.

BJ Penn won round 1 via boxing and eyepoke, but clearly lost round 2 and 3 via smothering. Round 3 was hilariously bad.

Honestly that whole fight was pretty bad. BJ landed some shots and a eyepoke in round 1 and the next two rounds were pretty much lay and pray. BJ was ready to pass out in round 3 he was so gassed.

Was the Fitch fights GSP's most exciting fight? Or Hughes II? GSP was fun sometimes.

Both GSP and Hendricks have heart. I have yet to see Lombard display a will to win when he is facing adversity. Lombard gets frustrated and pouts when not winning.

Agree with the title.

I don't think we will ever seem Hendricks 50-45 as a meme.

Bad example, horrible example in fact.
BJ is a HW who cuts heaps.

So what you're saying is that he's undefeated except for an exceptionally close and bad decision against Rick Story?

He wins and it is exciting.

I'm not at all trying to troll on Hendricks, but I just want to counter the "GSP never finishes" statement.

GSP brutally KO's Hughes to win the title. He later subbed Hughes, and also dominated and finished Serra to re-take the title. Hes also KO'd Jay Heiron, forced BJ Penn to quit etc.

GSP has finishes. Just because they were a long time ago doesnt change the fact that he won big fights via finishes
