Posted this elsewhere. I'll leave it here and see what people think.
I for one, don't feel bad. At least not the way most others feel bad for him. Some people just aren't cut out for society. Doesn't make them bad people necessarily. Just unfit when it comes to seamlessly integrating into civilized society. We don't get a choice when we are handed traits on our way into this forsaken rock. So in that regard, Paul Harris isn't malicious. He's a product of equal parts shitty ass environment and genetics. He shouldn't be allowed within arms length of a cage, or ring, or pit, or whatever the fuck people fight in elsewhere. I believe him when he says he doesn't know any better or even recognize that he's doing anything wrong. He isn't a monster. He's just painted that way.
But the reality is, because fighting takes place in a simi-civilized setting, and he is incapable of acting civilized. We have no choice but to cast him out. What comes of this, we can't know. Crime, suicide, anger, hatred, frustration, confusion. Who the fuck knows. We're about to find out though. People keep calling the dude a sociopath. I'm not do sure that's the case, but if he is, then the things he's doing aren't being done with malicious intentions. Sociopaths don't choose to be sociopaths. Regardless of what nancy grace tells you.
